No vídeo de hoje iremos fazer o percurso entre o bairro Cabral na cidade de Contagem – MG até a cidade de Jequitibá – MG, através da rodovia BR-040 (pedagiada) passando pela cidade de Sete Lagoas – MG.

Breve histórico sobre a cidade de Jequitibá- MG: Bandeirantes, buscando ouro pedras preciosas ou terras férteis para cultura, atingiram a região onde se localiza o município.

Em 1670, chegava ao local, procedente de Sabará, um sertanista de barbas longas e brancas conhecido pelo nome de 'Borba Gato'.

Veio pelo rio das Velhas, trazendo escravos e índios mansos e ao encontrar um lugar aprazível nele, fixou-se.

O lugar ficava à margem de uma lagoa, próximo à foz do ribeirão Jequitibá, naquele rio. Fonte: IBGE

In today's video we will take the route between the Cabral neighborhood in the city of Contagem - MG to the city of Jequitibá - MG, through the BR-040 highway (toll) passing through the city of Sete Lagoas - MG.

Brief history about the city of Jequitibá - MG: Bandeirantes, seeking gold precious stones or fertile land for culture, reached the region where the municipality is located.

In 1670, he arrived at the place, coming from Sabará, a sertanista with long white beards known by the name of 'Borba Gato'.

He came by the Rio das Velhas, bringing slaves and tame Indians and, finding a pleasant place in it, he settled down.

The place was on the edge of a lagoon, near the mouth of the Jequitibá stream, on that river. Source: IBGE
