No vídeo de hoje iremos dirigir da cidade de Santa Rita de Ouro Preto MG até Lavras Novas MG (Distrito da cidade histórica de Ouro Preto MG) por intermédio da rodovia MG-129.
Santa Rita de Ouro Preto Localizado à 30 km de Ouro Preto, o distrito de Santa Rita é conhecido como a Capital da Pedra-Sabão, por concentrar artesãos na arte de esculpir a pedra-sabão.
Seus primeiros habitantes chegaram no início do século XVIII, com a bandeira de Martinho de Vasconcelos, à procura do ouro às margens do Ribeirão Falcão, mas encontraram em abundância a esteatita, conhecida como pedra-sabão.
A origem do nome se deve à devoção à Santa Rita de Cássia, imagem trazida pelos bandeirantes tornando-se a santa de devoção da população da cidade.
Passou a chamar de Santa Rita de Ouro Preto quando foi elevado a distrito.

Com população de pouco mais de 1500 habitantes, Lavras Novas (distrito de Ouro Preto MG), é um vilarejo que surgiu aproximadamente no ano de 1716, distante de 20 Km de Ouro Preto MG.
Cercado de esplêndidas paisagens (principalmente de montanhas), é um lugar de muita cultura local, paz, natureza e aventura.
Destacam-se no local, a cachoeira dos Namorados, cachoeira Três Pingos e represa do Custódio, dentre outras atrações.
